Carved from typhoon felled Narra tree. This is a reminder of my Grandmothers home in the 60's where there were still commodes being used as flower pots and there was one that was broken. Inspiration comes from many sources.

INFINITY CROSS
These limited edition crosses are hand carved from a single piece of Philippine Hardwood. I was inspired to make this when I thought about my wife who has put up with my eccentricities for what must seem like an eternity to her.
SCROLL CROSS
These limited edition scroll crosses are hand carved from Philippine Hardwood. I was inspired to make these when I was making the Infinity Cross. The hand carving really makes the center of the cross stand out. The center scroll is hand carved from a single piece of wood.

This beautifully carved Narra Games stand would grace any man cave. You can play Tic Tac Toe or practice your golf putting. It also has three shelves for displaying those precious items. This is a piece that will be handed down for many generations.

I made this cake stand to replace a really horrible one that my good wife purchased made out of wire. After making it, I approached Lanelle about making plates to suit it. This now comes with and without plates depending on the clients choice. It is available in various recycled timbers and different colored plates

These display some of Lanelle's work. We have set the tile into the top of the cabinet and then mounted tempered glass on top to protect the piece from accidental damage. As the theme of the tiles were buttons, we went with a Singer Sewing machine style cabinet. Even the drawer handles look like buttons. The cabinet is made from recycled Narra and Ipil.

This very old table top was thrown on the top of a load of recycled timber I purchase from Northern Luzon. At first look, it did not look much at all but after cleaning it up and polishing it, the color and the grain really came to life. I could not cut it up into usable pieces of wood as the life and fire of it would be lost. So I made a stand and mounted it so all could enjoy it.

Why Enlightenment Tree? This piece is made from some typhoon felled Narra that left a very large hole in a friends roof. Looking up through the hole could be considered a form of enlightenment, but I prefer walking past it each day and looking in the mirror. That for me is TRUE enlightenment. Note the small drawer that has been carved from one solid piece of Narra. This makes a great Hall Stand that is artistic and functional.

Charles Rohlf Chair
This is my interpretation of a chair designed and built in the late 1800's by Charles Rohlf. It is a chair that has very difficult and intricate joinery. WIth the carving, it is not an easy chair to make and it is no wonder that one of these chairs sold for more than USD 105,000

This started its life as a round waste bin. However the diameter was incorrect and so it sat for many months and one day as I was walking past it the idea for a bench came to mind. So by adding a base and seat, a great seat was born. This is made from recycled Ipil. The name Capstan is because it is similar to what ships are tied up to at the wharf.
